This year I’m taking part in [mo]re than a run, a powerful community-led movement that uses running as a tool to support mental health and prevent suicide. On the final Saturday of November, thousands of us across cities in Australia, New Zealand and beyond will be lacing up for this important cause. More Than A Run
Sunday 19th OctOn November 29th, we will be partnering with More Than A Run to raise awareness and funds for mental health. Our reason behind KI Run Club is to provide the community with an opportunity to create connections, start conversations, and move their body to start their day in a positive way; but we are also big advocates for mental health and recognising the importance of checking in on our mates.
We will be coming together with a key purpose to raise awareness for mental health and break down the stigma around it. Meeting on the Emu Bay lawns on November 29th from 8am, in collaboration with Beach Day and Island Pilates, we will be offering the following options for people to take part in More Than a Run:
8am – 10km runners and 5km walkers begin
8:30am – 5km runners begin
9:15am – Stretch and Flow with Island Pilates
9:45am - Coffee at Beach Day and swim to follow.
We would love to see as many people as possible coming to support this cause!
