This year I’m taking part in [mo]re than a run, a powerful community-led movement that uses running as a tool to support mental health and prevent suicide.I will be running a total of 60km in the last week of November, for the 60 men that die of suicide every hour around the world.
The runs will be broken up as follows:
- 30km: For the 30% rise in the number of Australian men dying by suicide over the past decade
- 10km: For the one in ten men around the world living with an anxiety disorder
- Plus an extra 20km for good measure!
In November, thousands of us across cities in Australia, New Zealand and beyond will be lacing up for this important cause.

Friday 28th Nov Garmin tells me I've done 51.4km in the last 7 days!No wonder I feel sore.

Sydney marathon ballot results out
Thursday 30th Oct Fairly terrified (but grateful) to be able to take part in my first marathon in 2026! Can't fathom doing 60km weekly mileages at the pointy end of marathon training. Really excited to challenge myself to raise money for Movember by running a total of 60km in the last week of Nov, hopefully my legs don't get too much of a shock. Share
